District Programs

Bilingual Education Bryan Schools
Bilingual classes are taught in eight Bryan elementary schools and in the Carver pre-kindergarten program. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are held at the Long, Rayburn and SFA Middle Schools and Bryan High School. The Dual Language Program at the Milam (pre-K-3), Jones (2nd-5th) and Johnson (K-5) campuses is a partial immersion model for English speaking students and a bilingual model for Spanish speaking students. It is designed to teach students a second language through subject content instruction and everyday classroom conversation.

Career & Technology Education
A variety of innovative programs such as the Technology, Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, Automotive Technology and Childcare Professions Academies offer students opportunities to explore Computer Technology, Health Sciences, Law Enforcement, Auto Technology and Day Care operations. Graphics/Visualization classes are also offered. Cooperative education classes afford students work-based learning experiences that provide a jump-start for their careers.

Bryan ISD Gifted & Talented Program
Bryan ISD's multi-level program for gifted and talented students is designed to serve the individual needs of those who perform or show potential of performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience or environment. Their vision is that all schools in Bryan ISD will provide dynamic, differentiated learning environments, which challenge students to develop their intellectual power, creativity and sense of self.

Allen Academy (PK-12)
There are no tracks at Allen Academy, every student navigates a college preparatory curriculum resulting in Advanced Placement courses in the Upper School. This starts in Preschool and runs through the twelfth grade. Their philosophy is that all students are capable of high achievement, so they set the bar high and we help kids get there.
